While volunteering in Africa, I designed this small collection, working with local Maasai friends and their families. For me it was very important to support the local tribes. They are having a hard time due to the decline in tourism to Africa.
Making beaded jewellery is part of the Maasai tradition. It is an art form performed by the women in this area. These skills have historically been passed from mother to daughter. Both men and women wear these colourful pieces.
Please mention during 'check out' the colour and size you would like to buy.
